The rehabilitants receive a hot meal every day, activity breaks and monthly monetary compensation that is calculated according to a number of indices. In addition, a wide range of services is offered that includes physiotherapy, occupational therapy, behavioral analysis, and group treatment on a variety of subjects.
The employment spectrum includes at-home employment, protected employment, supported employment, and integration into the workforce of the free market.
The Association also employs people with disabilities within its own organization.
The Cochav Hatzafon Association operates multi-disability employment centers in many locations throughout the Galilee and the Golan Heights that combine rehabilitation, employment and social opportunities. The employment centers function as a network that enable disabled individuals mobility between locations according to their desires and their suitability. The centers also serve as a safety net for people who integrated into the workforce in the free market, and for whatever reason return to a protected environment.

The centers are managed by a team that includes a director/social worker, counselors, and volunteers.
Every service recipient, in cooperation with family and with the assistance of the professional staff, follows a personalized advancement plan, managed by computerized software program.
Employment Centers

There are two types of employment centers that operate in parallel:
  • Protected employment centers for adults with disabilities
  • Training centers for people who are interested in and suitable for working in the free market (in supported employment situations)

These centers offer a variety of types of work, including creation of art products, furniture restoration and factory work.

Transitional Employment

An intermediary stage where rehabilitants are trained for supported employment in workplaces that are not run by the Cochav Association. At this stage, there is no employer-employee relationship between the place of work and the rehabilitant. The Association functions as an intermediary between the employee and the workplace.

At-home Employment

This model is suitable for people who cannot integrate into other frameworks for various reasons (e.g. dialysis treatments, anxiety, temporary mobility difficulties, etc.). These individuals can receive a work quota at home, and once a week or so they meet with a Cochav counselor who provides emotional support and helps with bureaucratic issues.
At-home employment services are available throughout the Eastern Galilee region.

Supported Employment

During the stage of supported employment, rehabilitants engage in direct employee-employer communication with their places of work.
The Association operates a placement program, in which the placement coordinator and occupational therapists locate potential places of work, and then guide both parties throughout and after the process. Placement is made after a careful examination of the requirements, conditions, expectations and capabilities, so that both sides can achieve optimal results. The Association follows the progress of the rehabilitants over the course of years, and continues to provide emotional support when needed.
